“The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil.”
1 John 3:8 (ESV)
Greetings in the peace of Jesus Christ. It is a joy to share this message with you as we celebrate Easter. Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection are perhaps the most important events in all of history, but they also mark a personal turning point in the life of every believer who truly understands them.
In this verse, the apostle John powerfully summarizes Jesus’ ministry: He appeared to destroy the works of the devil.
Let me ask you: Do you know what those “works of the devil” are? Many people live spiritually bound, loving the Lord yet unable to understand why they feel stuck.
Today, emotional struggles are on the rise. We see young people battling confusion about their identity, adults carrying deep emptiness, wrestling with anxiety, silently facing depression, and feeling like there’s no way out. This brokenness has even led to unstable homes and health issues.
But that’s precisely why Jesus came: to break those chains.
He came to destroy everything the enemy has used to keep you from living in freedom.
God desires to lead you into true freedom and restore every area of your life. We can only serve Him fully when our lives are in order.
Dear friend, I want to invite you to experience the true power of the resurrection this Easter season. To help you do that, I’ve prepared a free 7-day devotional with a daily reflection, prayer guide, and practical steps to walk in freedom.
The death and resurrection of Jesus hold unimaginable power. Maybe you’ve celebrated Easter many times before, but I pray that this year will be different—that you will grasp its true meaning: freedom.
You were not born to live in bondage. Christ died to give you complete freedom.
May this week be one of deep connection with the Lord—and a fresh encounter with the power of His resurrection.
